Happy Valentine’s Day from Stan Lee — 1958

by Paula Bosse

Ever heard of a little comic strip about Cub Scouts called “Mrs. Lyon’s Cubs,” written by Stan Lee (?!) and drawn by Joe Maneely? Me neither. It lasted only a few months, from February, 1958 until August, 1958, ending, basically, after Maneely’s accidental death (he fell between the cars of a moving train (!) — another artist took over briefly, but the strip never regained whatever comic momentum it might have had).

So, um … Happy Valentine’s Day!
